Welcome to the OhioHealth Doctors Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency. As the program director I have made it my mission to ensure that my residents learn the skills necessary to become outstanding emergency physicians while maintaining a balance between work and life. All of our faculty are as committed to the education of residents and students as they are to the well being of the resident. Whether you are considering us for a student rotation or for residency training I promise you will have a great experience!
Program Overview
- ACGME accredited with Osteopathic Recognition
- 70,000 volume emergency department, 50 beds, and brand new 12 bed clinical decision making unit
- Four-year program with eight residents per year
- Eighteen full time faculty
- Affiliated rotation sites:
- Grant Medical Center – Level I trauma center
- Riverside Methodist Hospital – Level II trauma center and nationally recognized neuroscience center
- Nationwide Children’s Hospital – one of the busiest pediatric emergency departments in the country
- MetroHealth Life Flight – one of the busiest air medical transport services in the country
- Medical education center that includes a simulation laboratory, 300 seat auditorium, conference rooms, medical library, staff offices, resident lounge with sleeping rooms, showers, workstations, entertainment area, and fitness center.
