What are you most excited for in residency and joining DHEM?: I’m really excited to finally start this next chapter and dive into emergency medicine! I’m looking forward to learning from the faculty, becoming a better physician, and building genuine friendships with my co-residents. More than anything, I’m excited to find my place at DHEM, become part of the family, and make it feel like home.

What are you most excited for in residency and joining DHEM?: I’m excited to join doctor’s because I feel like the hospital is the perfect blend of community and academic. I like that the hospital system has a lot of different residency programs and opportunities to see wide ranging pathology while maintaining the feel of a mid sized community hospital. I chose DHEM because I believe they will prepare me for whatever I want to do next.

What are you most excited for in residency and joining DHEM?: We’re EM. We know what we’re about – life saving procedures and resuscitations in a busy emergency department while serving a big population in dire need of care. I have strong interests in critical care and ultrasound and I chose DHEM for the vast ocean of resources offered by OhioHealth to explore these areas creatively, build a strong portfolio of experiences to elevate my fellowship application, and to become a clinically outstanding emergency physician.

What are you most excited for in residency and joining DHEM?: I am most excited about integrating and applying medical knowledge into clinical practice. There’s something uniquely satisfying about recognizing something I once learned in a book and then applying it with real patients. I’m also continually amazed by how friendly and supportive everyone in the program is. The culture here really is unmatched, with everyone genuinely invested in our wellbeing and success.
