Welcome to the Department of Emergency Medicine at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital

Creating and supporting whole provider is crucial to providing high quality emergency medical care to our patients.  In our department, we maximize the patient-physician relationship by focusing on three areas:

3. Patient Care

Our residency program is a well-established with an excellent reputation for molding high-functioning clinicians.  We utilize innovative teaching strategies in the clinical and academic realms to enhance the learning environment for our residents and students.  Our faculty and staff are dedicated educators and mentors, embodying progressive medical education!

Our leadership recognizes the importance of physician wellness.  Recognizing medicine is more than clinical knowledge, our program prepares physicians to manage themselves, their health, their personal lives and their finances.   We believe that a happy physician is a better educator and clinician.

Our clinical experience is among the best in the nation with a good mix of academic community emergency medicine, diverse pathology and time-critical diagnoses.  We provide frontline care for our patients in an efficient manner, with comprehensive specialty and sub-specialty back up when needed.
